Welcome to the Official Website for the 3rd annual Canadian Adventure Therapy Symposium. We have created this website as the one-stop place for all C.A.T.S.3 related information, including symposium location details, information about who will be presenting, and of course how to register.
The 2011 symposium is already shaping up to be a stellar gathering of enthusiastic people. Hosted by Leaders of the Day and Wendigo Lake Expeditions, there will be some big shoes to fill after the last two symposiums and we are excited to get started!

An Intriguing Invitation:
After attending both the Symposium in Victoria and then most recently the one in Chicoutimi, I was struck as I always am by the amazing things that can happen when people of like minds set aside the time to gather in one place to intentionally share time together. As we look ahead to our third such national gathering, we wish to extend a warm invitation for you to join us and be a part of this incredible gathering. As each Symposium has unfolded, the bar has been set high to create unique opportunities to explore our diversity as Canadian organizations and this time to “Explore Our Common Ground”.
By sheer necessity with the first two Symposiums, we have had programming running during the day and then participants needed to return to their own off-site accommodations in the evenings. In an effort to create and maintain a strong sense of community and momentum for CATS 3, we have sought out a really beautiful venue that will allow us to feed and accommodate everyone on-site for the duration of the event; our first “all inclusive” event.
On the shores of beautiful Lake Bernard near Sundridge, Ontario the Symposium will unfold during the day with dynamic presentations, workshops and round-table discussions. We will also be adding an exciting Pre-Symposium opportunity which will include a full day of incredible workshop sessions that will only be accessible by Pre-Symposium attendees.
With everyone accommodated on site, the evenings will be filled with great opportunities for networking and fun activities including a sunrise paddle, some live music, our CATS 3 Cafe and the chance to take in the stars from the deck of our 40 foot on-site Observatory.
We are now reviewing workshop proposals and hope to be posting some of the options in the coming weeks. If you or someone you know has a dynamic topic that fits with some of the identified themes, we look forward to your proposal.
